Who We Are

James Day & The Fish Fry are a Mid-Atlantic-based band bringing the vibrant spirit of New Orleans music to life. With performances spanning festivals and venues across Canada and the East Coast, the band delivers a high-energy, dance-worthy experience rooted in the rich traditions of Crescent City sound.

Led by James Day, the group is known for its dynamic blend of musical styles—a gumbo mix of street parade rhythms, Cuban rumbas, swamp pop, zydeco, and classic New Orleans grooves. Every show is a celebration of rhythm, soul, and community.
